Case studies – institutions

In order to understand the effect the increased development and use of open-access monographs might have at an institutional level – including the effects on processes, systems, and policies within institutions – a set of case studies was developed across three diverse institutions – the University of Nottingham, the University of Sussex, and the University of Lincoln. Staff interviewed at these institutions included representatives from university management teams, librarians, and repository managers, as well as researchers in a variety of humanities and social-science disciplines.
